- " At one point, I started with the Daycare with Six children in the daycare, the support that the daycare had provided was a tremendous need of help. Being a single parent of six, four to which i have taken into my care 2 1/2 yrs ago, the daycare stood by me through the tough times. The expertise that the Children Academy Daycare offers reflects on the spiritual being of my children when they come home at the end of the day. The welcoming sense of belonging is immediately greeted from the staff the moment the children enter the premises and when the warm "see you tomorrow" departure helps the children look forward to going back to where its warm and inviting. The uniqueness to the daycare also includes, cultural diversity and awareness to the children attending. The education of the diverse community that we live in, brings to the children the awareness of accepting the differences in cultures at an early age. The staff at the daycare provide free family functions & Christmas concerts, for the family s to gather and socialize and to get to know one another.
The daycare provided my child care with a hot-meal in the mornings, a hot-meal at lunch, and a snack in the afternoon, this is one benefit that many of the other daycares cannot offer to their childcare. They helped teach, read, count and homework studies to my children while i was busy at work and doing my own studies. Daycares such as this one, is one of a kind. I have never heard of many other daycares in the area, let alone the city of Edmonton, that provide such care and benefits by their staff members as the Children Academy Daycare offers. "
I've been using daycares since 1993 (my eldest child is now 18 yrs old,) as a result, I have a lot of experience both positive and negative. I am very choosy when it comes to my children's care and am extremely pleased thus far with their treatment at Children's Academy. I find Children's Academy to be above the standard in terms of cleanliness. One would think a clean daycare would be standard practice in this line of business, but in my experience it is most definitely not. Children's Academy is one of the cleanest daycares I've ever used. I also appreciate seeing the staff encouraging the children to clean up after themselves as well. Another problem I've encountered in the past is the quality of food, and consistency of what is posted on the "menu", and what is actually served - this is never an issue at Children's Academy .I also appreciate the friendly greetings I receive from Kim and/or Kulvinder when I arrive at the end of my day, they always take the time to say hello and ask how I am/ how my day was. If something has occurred concerning my children I receive immediate notification, and if I ever have issues, I'm attentively listened to, and always receive feedback and a folllow-up re: my concerns .I was pleased to see decorations reflecting such cultural diversity during the holidays as well. We are Jewish, and were pleased to see Chanukah represented , this is something I've never encountered anywhere else (Other than the Jewish Community Center many years ago. Overall I am very happy and more than satisfied with the care my children receive at Children's Academy, and am planning on them remaining in the care of Kim, Kulvinder & staff indefinitely."
